The Atlas of Public Stocks – A Free Website That Maps All Publicly Listed Companies (My first web application)

Dear Readers,

I’m especially excited to announce my first web project. It’s called The Atlas of Public Stocks it is a searchable map of all publicly listed companies from around the world. In other words, you can use this map to locate public companies near a given address.

How I Came Up With The Idea:

Last year I was planning an investment trip to Munich, Germany and struggled to identify local public companies. I created this website to help investors facing similar situations.

How To Use The Atlas Of Public Stocks:

Collaborators:

Of course I can’t take all the credit for developing this idea. Below is a list of the people who helped me make this come true.

1. Intellisys – a  software development firm based in the Dominican Republic which helped me develop tools to get public company data.

2. Derek Eder – an open data developer who created the searchable map template and spent countless hours teaching me about fusion tables.

3. Carlo Pascoe – a brilliant multidisciplinary computer engineer.

Comments & Feedback:

Please share your thoughts with me. I’m interested in learning about features that you would like to see in future versions.
