Over the past months I have dedicated several posts to Daniel Kahneman and his contributions to the field of behavioral finance. I believe every investor should know about behavioral finance and who better to learn it from than one of the original founders. Daniel Kahneman is an Israeli-American psychologist and Nobel laureate, notable for his work on behavioral finance and hedonic psychology. With Amos Tversky and others, Kahneman established a cognitive basis for common human errors using heuristics and biases, and developed Prospect theory. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Prize in Economics for his work in Prospect theory. Currently, he is professor emeritus of psychology at Princeton University’s Department of Psychology.
